Jason Ducos, LCSW-R, CASAC-Master Clinical Director and Founder

Specialty: Clinical Social Work and Substance Abuse Counseling

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in crisis intervention and substance abuse counseling. I work with adults and couples who are seeking relief from trauma, grief, anxiety and depression, relationships issues, and life adjustment. I believe recovery and healing is not a one size fits all. Every individual and couple has a unique set of internal and external strengths. I use a holistic and creative, solutions focused based approach that is influenced by trauma therapy, attachment theory, psychodrama and theory of intersectionality. I believe that no matter what point you are in life that there is room to heal, room to grow, and room to thrive as your most authentic self.

I tell anyone I meet who is seeking out counseling, it’s crucial to find a therapist who is the right fit and makes us feel safe and comfortable.  If you are interested in working with me, I approach psychotherapy as an alliance. We are partners in your journey of self discovery, reframing obstacles into lessons that help you live the most authentic life you can.  It takes courage to admit that life’s burdens are sometimes too hard to bear alone. Opening up in therapy is an act of courage, strength and self love.

Do you often feel weighed down with feelings of anxiety and sadness? Do you believe to be stuck with the same negative and lasting thoughts? Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties and build meaningful paths towards you growing into the best version of yourself. My intuitive and empathic abilities allow me to listen closely and offer you different perspectives. I believe that having person-centered and holistic therapeutic approaches are important in helping your concerns. I am a New York State Licensed Social Worker with an education from Fordham University.

I am also a part of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work where I’m able to network and gain knowledge from an abundance of resources. I have experience in assisting those who have dealt with self-esteem matters, life transitions, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use across different cultures and communities. The key components in my therapeutic alliance with you is patience and creating a safe environment during our sessions. Let’s take this next chapter in your life together.

Specialty: Clinical Social Work

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a solid background in clinical practice and a strong interest in helping individuals through emotional, physical, and behavioral concerns. My transition into psychotherapy began when I developed an interest in the craft of storytelling and being with others, which I first did with a journalism major before entering social work. I earned my BSW and MSW with honors from Walden University, and I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Capella University to deepen my understanding of human behavior in both clinical and organizational settings.

Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse settings—ranging from medical social work and hospice to child protective services and trauma-informed counseling. This has influenced my therapeutic style: client-centered, empathic, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I have specialty in psychosocial assessment, bereavement work, crisis intervention, and connecting clients with community resources. Whether I am working with families through end-of-life care or walking with individuals through traumatic experiences, I seek to create a safe, affirming space for healing and transformation.

I bring bilingual fluency in English and Tagalog, cultural sensitivity, and a strengths-based lens to my practice. I’m proud to be affiliated with professional organizations such as NASW, Phi Alpha Honor Society, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. My goal is to empower clients to reclaim their narratives, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change. Therapy, to me, is not just a profession—it’s a vocation grounded in empathy, activism, and the belief that every single person needs to be heard, understood, and empowered.
